The last test session of the 2009-2010 membership year is set for Sunday, June 13th at the Triangle SportsPlex in Hillsborough, NC.

CCSC hosted three competitions during the 2009-2010 year: The 2009 Central Carolina Synchro Classic on Sunday, November 8th, the 2010 Eastern Adult Sectional Figure Skating Championships on February 20-21, and the 2010 Central Carolina Skating Classic on April 8-11. Watch the website for the 2010-2011 competition dates!

The Helen M. McLoraine Figure Skating Scholarship Program

The Pioneer Fund has established a scholarship program to assist eligible current and former amateur and professional ice skaters who dedicated their lives to skating and now wish to pursue a college education. For more information and to apply for a scholarship visit The Pioneer Fund website.

2010 Central Carolina Skating Classic

April 8-11, 2010
Triangle SportsPlex, Hillsborough, NC

The 2010 Central Carolina Skating Classic is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 8th through Sunday, April 11th, at the Triangle SportsPlex in Hillsborough, NC.

It will offer computerized International Judging System for all Juvenile through Senior level events for the fifth straight year. It will also offer the Test Track events and a Basic Skills competition.

(3/28/2010) The tentative schedule for the 2010 Central Carolina Skating Classic has been updated. This latest schedule corrects the Silver jumps to the lobby end and adds the 2 new practice ice sessions.
(3/28/2010) You can now sign up for two new practice ice sessions on Friday, April 9, at 6:40 am (session P), and another on Saturday, April 10, at 6:40 am (session Q).
(3/27/2010) Additional Practice Ice Sessions and Guest Coaches on Practice Sessions: There will be an additional practice ice session added to the schedule Friday, April 9, at 6:40 am (session P), and another on Saturday, April 10, at 6:40 am (session Q). The online registration system will accept reservations for these new sessions beginning Sunday evening, March 28.
(3/27/2010) Any non-Triangle SportsPlex coach will be allowed to coach during a FS session on Thursday, April 8, for a flat daily fee of $15. Upon arrival at TSP, a guest coach must register at the front desk and pay the daily $15 fee. There will be no fee for coaching April 9 through the end of competition on April 11 (approximately noon).
(3/27/2010) All IJS skaters must complete register their program content through US Figure Skating. The steps are: (1) Log in through member services on the USFS website (2) Choose Event Registration and Management (3) Choose Program Content under Event Manager (4) Scroll down and click on "Add new form" for Central Carolina Skating Classic (5) Follow prompts and click "Save program" at the bottom of the page ... A yellow line appears at the top of the screen and says "Program content saved successfully." The deadline is Saturday, April 3rd.

(3/18/2010) The practice ice application is now available.
(3/18/2010) Back by popular demand, the lists of skaters, groups, coaches, and clubs/rinks are now available. Using these lists, you can verify events for skaters, check a skater's or coach's schedule for the entire Classic, see what skaters are competing for which clubs/rinks, etc. As soon as the practice ice application is available (look for this to be available in the evening on Thursday, March 18th), the practice ice session schedules will also be included in these lists.
(3/18/2010) The tentative schedule for the 2010 Central Carolina Skating Classic has been updated.
(3/16/2010) The practice ice application will be available very soon. Currently, the schedule is undergoing some "tweaking" due to last minute requests. As soon as these changes are completed, the schedule, groups, and practice ice will be posted to the CCSC website.

All events will be held at the Triangle SportsPlex, One Dan Kidd Drive, Hillsborough, NC 27278, (919) 644-0339. The facility is off I-85 at Exit 165. After exiting, follow the signs to the Sports Center.
