Club Notes  The next text session is set for Sunday, May 18th at 6:45am-12:45pm at the Triangle SportsPlex, Hillsborough, NC.
Mark your calendars for the 2008 Spring General Membership Meeting set for Saturday, May 17th, at the Triangle SportsPlex in Hillsborough, NC. Club Ice has two 45-minute freestyle sessions. Session A is from 10:45-11:30am and Session B is from 11:30am-12:15pm. Last Club Ice date until the Summer vacation is Saturday, May 17th.

Welcome!
Welcome to the website of the Central Carolina Skating Club, Inc. (CCSC), a member club (#497) of US Figure Skating. CCSC was established in July 1995. Its headquarters is at the Triangle SportsPlex in Hillsborough, NC. CCSC is now a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization because of our support of the US Figure Skating mission of "providing programs to encourage participation and achievement in the sport of figure skating."
Last Club Ice Until August
CCSC will not be having Club Ice during June and July. The last club ice session until August will be this coming Saturday, May 17th.
The 2008 Spring General Membership Meeting is scheduled for THIS Saturday, May 17th, at the Triangle SportsPlex in Hillsborough. It will be held "pool side" ... well ... around the back on the pool side of the Triangle SportsPlex. A free lunch will be served to all that attend. We will begin serving the free lunch at 12:45pm and the business portion of the meeting will begin at 1:15pm.
The business portion of the meeting will include:
- the awarding of test certificates and medals, (check the List of Test Awards/Certificates to see if you or your skater is receiving a test medal)
- door prizes,
- a "State of the Club" report,
- the election of the Club Board and Officers,
- the awarding of the CCSC Award,
- the recognition of Kevin Elvin's 13 years of service to CCSC as he steps down from the board.
CCSC Members: Please let us know if you and your family plan to attend this IMPORTANT meeting or not. Email Shelley Faucette by Saturday, May 11th, at slfaucette@bellsouth.net. This is important with planning the lunch and to let us know if we have a quorum for the voting items.
Please note: 2007-2008 skater support checks will be given out to those eligible skaters that attend the meeting. Otherwise, skater support checks will be sent out in June. Check the list of skaters that qualified to receive skater support during the 2007-2008 year.
May 2008 Test Session
The May 2008 Test Session will take place on Sunday, May 18th from 7:45am to 12:45pm at the Triangle SportsPlex in Hillsborough, NC. The Test Schedule is available.

The 2008 Central Carolina Skating Classic took place on Friday, April 4th, through Sunday, April 6th, at the Triangle SportsPlex in Hillsborough, NC. The 2008 Classic offered computerized IJS events for the third straight year, the new Test Track events, and a Basic Skills competition. Visit these links for more information:

2008 Adult Eastern Sectional Championships
Congratulations to Amy Entwistle who came in 2nd place in Championship Masters Ladies at the 2008 Adult Eastern Sectional Championships in Wayne, NJ. Amy qualified for the 2008 U.S. Adult Championships in Lake Placid, NY, in April.
CCSC Apparel Online
CCSC has partnered with In-Line Apparel to offer quality CCSC apparel. The items offered in the CCSC section of In-Line Apparel's web store are available year round. There are fleece jackets and vests, sweatshirts, shirts, hats, pants, and bags. You can put your name on certain items.
Shelley Faucette has examples of the jackets for members to try on for sizing. Email Shelley with requests and she'll bring the jackets to the next Club Ice or other CCSC event.
For delivery, choose the CCSC shipping option for free shipping via regular U.S. Mail, or choose Carolina Acceleration, a sports training center located in Greensboro, NC, for pick up in Greensboro, or choose Priority Mail for faster delivery. Check out the CCSC Apparel store at In-Line Apparel.
