Skater Support for the 2008 Spring General Membership Meeting

CCSC is holding its 2008 Spring General Membership Meeting on Saturday, May 17th, at the Triangle SportsPlex in Hillsborough, NC. The following skaters are eligible and have qualified for 2007-2008 skater support. Skater support checks will be given out to those skaters that attend the 2008 Spring General Membership Meeting. Otherwise, skater support checks will be sent out in June. (See below for more information about skater support payments.)

Skater Support is given to all those that compete at qualifying USFSA competitions like Regionals, Sectionals, and Nationals. Competitive support is also given to one of the following: Non-Qualifying Regionals, Sectionals and Nationals and the Central Carolina Skating Classic. All members that tested through CCSC test sessions will receive 50% back on their test fee (excluding late and other fees). We also have provided or plan to provide support keeping Club Ice fees reasonable, giving free USFSA rulebooks, paying the Eastern Sectional entry fees for the synchro teams, awards, and judges support.

Skater support checks are written to members that are 18 years of age or older. Typically only one check is written per membership. For example, a check is written to the parent of a Jr. with Parent membership, not the Junior member. The skater support checks are paid and delivered in two ways. The CCSC Treasurer or President can write a check to a member and hand deliver it. The CCSC Treasurer can also send a check via BB&T. BB&T checks are sent via BB&T, using a BB&T envelope, which sometimes can be mistaken for bank advertising and spam mail. BB&T checks will need to be deposited within 60 days since there is an expiration date. Email Kathy Ridpath at ridpath@outrig.com for more information.
