2005 Synchro Rules Passed
The U.S. Figure Skating Website has a PDF document about the new rules passed at Governing Council that pertain to synchronized skating. Read More ...
Some changes that may be interesting to CCSC Synchro skaters are:
- The change in level names:
- Youth Introductory will now be called Pre-juvenile
- Teen Introductory will now be called Open Juvenile
- Adult Introductory will now be called Open Adult
- The team definitions:
- Pre-juvenile: (formerly called Youth Introductory) A team of 8-12 skaters. The majority of the team must be 11 years or younger.
- Open Juvenile: (formerly called Teen Introductory) A team of 8-12 skaters. The majority of the team must be 18 years or younger. All skaters must have passed the pre-preliminary moves in the field test.
- Open Adult: (formerly called Adult Introductory) A team or 8-12 skaters. The majority of the team must be 19 years or older.
New ISU Communication
Newly released ISU Communication 1323 contains clarifications for synchronized skating. Read more ...
