Club Notes  The last test session of the 2009-2010 membership year is set for Sunday, June 13th at the Triangle SportsPlex in Hillsborough, NC.
CCSC hosted three competitions during the 2009-2010 year: The 2009 Central Carolina Synchro Classic on Sunday, November 8th, the 2010 Eastern Adult Sectional Figure Skating Championships on February 20-21, and the 2010 Central Carolina Skating Classic on April 8-11. Watch the website for the 2010-2011 competition dates!
The Helen M. McLoraine Figure Skating Scholarship Program
The Pioneer Fund has established a scholarship program to assist eligible current and former amateur and professional ice skaters who dedicated their lives to skating and now wish to pursue a college education. For more information and to apply for a scholarship visit The Pioneer Fund website.

Volunteering for the Club

We NEED Your HELP!
As the club grows, so does the workload. Starting this year, we are asking our home club members to do a set number of hours of volunteer work for the club. In return, you will get a discount on next year's raised membership rates which will be $150 for family, $125 for Junior with Parent, and $90 for Junior or Senior memberships. We are asking that Junior and Senior memberships do 5 hours of volunteer work while Junior with parent and family memberships are asked to do 10 hours of volunteer work. You will get a $5 credit off of next year's membership for each hour that you work with a ceiling of $25 for Junior or Senior and $50 for Family or Junior with parent. You are responsible for keeping up with your hours and have an entire year to do your volunteer work. You will receive a card to keep track of what, when, and how long you have worked. These cards MUST be signed by a Board Member to get credit for your work. If you do not do your hours, you pay the higher membership rate starting in the 2005-2006 season.
