Club Notes  The test sessions for the 2009-2010 year have been posted. The next test session is set for Sunday, July 19th at the RecZone in Raleigh, NC.
Each year the CCSC Award is given to the club member who has shown Dedication-Service-Support to CCSC and its membership. This year's recipient was Jamye Gaster. Jamye has become the CCSC "GO TO" person for recruiting volunteers so that we can hold successful competitions. This year we put Jamye to the test with 4 competitions! Thank you, Jamye!!

Welcome!
Welcome to the website of the Central Carolina Skating Club, Inc. (CCSC), a member club (#497) of U.S. Figure Skating. CCSC was established in July 1995. Its headquarters is at the Triangle SportsPlex in Hillsborough, NC. CCSC is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization because of our support of the U.S. Figure Skating mission of "providing programs to encourage participation and achievement in the sport of figure skating."

Amy Entwistle is the 2009 National Adult Figure Skating Championship Masters Junior-Senior Ladies Champ. Amy competed at the 2009 U.S. Adult Figure Skating Championship held in Grand Rapids, MI, April 21-25, 2009.

July 2009 Test Session
The July 2009 Test Session will take place on Sunday, July 19th at the RecZone in Raleigh, NC. CCSC members are encouraged to renew their membership before submitting their application to make sure they are not charged the $35 non-member fee. The deadline for the July 2009 Test Session is Monday, June 22nd. Visit the Test Application.

2009 U.S. Adult Figure Skating Championships

Congratulations to Amy Entwistle and Lisa Chisholm who competed at the 2009 U.S. Adult Figure Skating Championships which took place on April 21-25, 2009, in Grand Rapids, MI. Amy Entwistle came in FIRST place in Championship Masters Junior-Senior Ladies Freeskate and Masters Ladies Artistic/Dramatic Interp. II. Visit these links for more information:
(Correction: The humble webmaster mistakenly posted Lisa Chisholm and David Tsai as National Champs in Silver Dance. All the results had not been posted yet to the official USFSA results page when this was posted and the humble and not-so-very-well-versed-in-figure-skating-knowledge webmaster took "Standings after Second Dance" as "Final Standings." So Lisa and David may not be national champs this year, but in our hearts Lisa is a huge champion!!!)

2009 Central Carolina Skating Classic

The 2009 Central Carolina Skating Classic took place Friday, April 3rd through Sunday, April 5th, at the Triangle SportsPlex in Hillsborough, NC.
It offered computerized International Judging System for all Juvenile through Senior level events for the fourth straight year. It also offered the Test Track events and a Basic Skills competition.

The 2009 U.S. Eastern Adult Sectional Championships and 2009 Central Carolina Adult Skating Classic (Non-Qualifying Eastern Adult Sectionals) took place on Saturday, February 21, and Sunday, February 22, 2009, at the Triangle SportsPlex in Hillsborough, NC.
2009 Eastern Synchronized Team Skating Sectional Championships
The Carolina Ice Synchro teams are competing at the 2009 Eastern Synchronized Team Skating Sectional Championships at Mennen Arena in Morristown, NJ on January 29-31, 2009. Visit the Synchro East 2009 website or the icenetwork.com's 2009 Synchro East Event page for more information.

CCSC Apparel Online
CCSC has partnered with In-Line Apparel to offer quality CCSC apparel. The items offered in the CCSC section of In-Line Apparel's web store are available year round. There are fleece jackets and vests, sweatshirts, shirts, hats, pants, and bags. You can put your name on certain items.
Shelley Faucette has examples of the jackets for members to try on for sizing. Email Shelley with requests and she'll bring the jackets to the next Club Ice or other CCSC event.
