CCSC has implemented a mandatory volunteer requiment beginning this 2026-27 season, as follows:
- Members will still receive a membership discount toward next season’s membership (i.e. 2027-2028) if they volunteer during the current season. $5/hour, up to $25 for Senior/Collegiate/Child with Parent memberships and up to $50 for Family memberships.
- To remain in good standing in the club, you are expected to volunteer in some capacity during the season. This includes giving your time in person or donating food/drink items to events CCSC holds. Examples:
- Volunteering at least 1 hour for an activity (i.e. registration desk, event set up)
- Donating a food or drink item for a planned event (i.e. a 12 pack of Cola for the competition hospitality)
- By the end of the season, if you have not volunteered in any capacity, your account will have a $100 fee added and be placed in “bad standing” until the fee is paid.
- Bad standing means the following:
- We will not process membership renewals for your account
- We will not approve competition participation
- We will not sign testing letters
- We do note that our collegiate members may not be local, and they are therefore excluded from this policy.
Skater Support Activity Grants Eligibility
Skater support activity grants are issued to qualified renewing members after the end of the fiscal year in June. To qualify, Family or Junior w/ Parent members need to acquire 20 volunteer hours per season to qualify for skater support. Single or Senior members are required to provide 10 volunteer hours over the prior season to be eligible for skater support.
