Great News!

We are excited to announce the return of our virtual test sessions in a brand-new format!

Based on feedback from skaters, parents, and coaches, CCSC will begin rolling virtual test sessions starting August 23 (registration opens August 7) and will continue offering them every two weeks. Under the USFSA virtual test rule, a video is valid for up to two weeks from the date it was recorded, which means our club can now accept and submit a virtual test at any time within that window.

In addition, we will begin offering in-person tests upon request. Typically, we can accommodate lower-level tests that require only one gold-level judge. However, depending on local judge availability, we may also be able to offer higher-level tests requiring three judges. If you are interested in arranging an in-person test for your skater, please email Ellen Bennett at ellen.bennett@duke.edu.

Please note changes to VIRTUAL tests:
Candidates may be allowed to submit their own recorded video of the test to the host club test chair. The submission deadline set by the test chair is the Thursday before the test session date (see above). Videos must have been recorded within 14 days of the submission deadline.
(Previously, it was 30 days.)

Prior to the candidate starting the test, the candidate’s name, home club name and test name must be announced or displayed (see also rule 8223). A date and time stamp must be clearly shown at the beginning of the video by holding up a mobile device in front of the camera that shows the date and time. The date must include both the month and the day (for example, July 1).
(Stating the home club name is new.)
